Traveling can be stressful. There are a lot of unknowns. I like to take the stress out of my trips by sending Reiki to all the places that I will be traveling to, along with sending Reiki to the people and vehicles that I am traveling with. Have you ever had a bad flight? Stayed in a room that had “bad energy”? Or, one bad thing happens at the beginning of the trip, and then another, and then another until you wish you stayed home.
Reiki helps with all of these. I’m offering these practices for those who are attuned to Reiki (level 2 or higher), however you can use this with Reiki level I, it will just be a bit simpler. If you haven’t been attuned to Reiki, then what you can do is send love. Send the highest vibration of love that you can – unconditional love.
What is Reiki? What is the difference between sending love and sending Reiki? Reiki is high level healing energy which can be channeled by Reiki practitioners. Reiki practitioners are attuned to this high level healing frequency, and are able to use it for healing. Reiki is popular as a healing modality, and it can be used for so much more. I firmly believe that you can improve anything when you send Reiki and love to it. Even if you are not attuned to Reiki, I encourage you to give these practices a try – love is powerful. The difference between Reiki and love has to do with the vessel that is sending this energy. We are humans. We are variable. We have good days and we have bad days. Our energy fluctuates. The beautiful thing about Reiki, is that the vibration is consistent and true to itself, so it is always high-level and always pure.
Let’s begin with flights. I begin sending Reiki as soon as I’m seated. For travel, I just use the 3 basic symbols; The Power of Love, The Power of the Divine Mind, and the Power of the Divine Heart. First, I send Reiki to the plane, imagining that it is going through a scan, and each inch of the craft, all the structure, controls, and electronics are surrounded and imbued with the Reiki symbols I choose. Next, I send Reiki to the pilot and co-pilot, imagining that they are surrounded by love all day, they are in perfect balance within themselves and in perfect balance with everyone they interact with, and that they have Reiki with them from the beginning to the end of their day.
Next, I send Reiki to the stewards and stewardesses on the plane, and any employees that had anything to do with the plane or the passengers. Again, I use the basic 3 Reiki symbols, and envision they are all surrounded by love and Reiki all day, and the are in perfect balance with themselves and others. Next, I go row by row (this does not need to take a long time, you can imaging Reiki spreading across the first row, then back row by row until you have given Reiki to each passenger on the plane), and send Reiki to each passenger on the plane.
Finally, if there are any babies on the plane, I send them extra Reiki, especially the Power of the Divine Mind, which I focus on their ears to relieve pressure during take-off and landing.
Another great way to use Reiki when traveling is to prepare your room with Reiki before you arrive at your hotel or AirBnB. Use the distance symbol to send Reiki in advance, and then draw the power symbol on each wall, the ceiling, and the floor. Finally draw a power symbol in the center of the room and see it radiating powerfully, filling the room with love. You can draw the distance symbol in the center of the room to help release and draw out any stagnant energy that needs to leave the room.
What about eating out? Wouldn’t it be nice to have a great seat, a fantastic waiter, and really great food? Before you go to the restaurant, send Reiki to the hostess who seats you, the waiter who serves you, the cooks who prepare your food, and anybody else who works at the restaurant. Send Reiki to your perfect table, and imagine yourself really loving where you sit, for whatever reason makes it so – great view, great people around you, or getting the best server. Send Reiki to the kitchen and all of the food. Specialize your night by asking for things that delight you and your dining partners. I always send Reiki to myself and my dining partners, and see us wrapped in a bubble of love and laughter.
Drivers, Guides, and More
You can send Reiki to your taxi driver, your tour guide, or any activity that you are doing on your vacation. The steps are simple: Send Reiki to each person involved in your experience. Send Reiki to yourself. Send Reiki to any objects involved (food, vehicle, clothing, gear), and finally, include some elements that are fun or delightful for you. If you are single, you can send Reiki to meeting other single people, if you are on a buying trip, you can send Reiki to the perfect purchase, and if you are a photographer, you can send Reiki to your perfect photograph. If you are a foodie, you can send Reiki to finding the most delicious and unique dishes.
There are endless ways to enhance your travels with Reiki. Get creative. Look for opportunities to add love and light to each and every experience, and have fun with it!
P.S. I’d love to hear about your experiences with Reiki and travel! Please leave comments!
